Delusions

From the day she was born, I suffered delusions about Adelaide's hair. The first being the color. On the day she was born, I told my mom over the phone that her hair was "blonde".  (see above for clarification).

Whatever the color there was no denying the fact that I LOVED putting Bows in it! What joy it brought me on those cold winter days of 2008! (No tape was required in the picture below)!

On the very day pictured below, I will never forget telling a mother of 3, youngest being the same age of Adelaide, "you can totally get a bow in that!" Referring of course, to her own daughter's head of sprouting fuzz. The look on her face was my first indication, that MAYBE Adelaide didn't have as much hair as I thought.....

  1. I had to stop Shelley on a number of occasions from taping or gluing a bow in her hair. But, in her defense I too got tired of strangers telling us "what an adorable little boy we have." Even when she would wear a pink dress.
