Your Second Birthday

I just put you down for your nap, you made it easy today!

We went into your bedroom a little before 7am this morning singing happy birthday and taking pictures and you had a carrot cake muffin with a candle for breakfast. Don't worry there are plenty of pictures! After we played with Diego and his tree house some we decided to go outside and bath the dogs, which is actually a fun activity for you right now. You were so helpful getting me the soap and the brush. When we were finished we had popsicles, you insisted I have orange and you had a yellow. Your Daddy said "you know it is going to be a good day when you have popsicles before 9am" So true!!

You also decorated a page for your baby book, you are quite an amazing little artist. And as it will be every year your Happy Birthday Banner is hanging over the fireplace.

Next we packed a picnic lunch and met Lolly and Ann Edwards (you call her Reese) at Overton Park. In completely predictable form we arrived at Overton Park in Mt Brook while Lolly & Ann Edwards were at the one in Homewood! I imagine things like this will happen a lot over the next several years. But they joined us in Mt. Brook we all wore Happy Birthday hats (don't worry plenty of pictures) while we ate. You ate some chicken, a few doritos, another carrot cake muffin, 1/2 a string cheese and some pear. Ann Edwards helped you with the pear & the veggie puffs (another favorite of yours right now) and she ate a pickle!!! What a big girl! 

Then we put you two in the swings and you loved when we had you swinging at the same pace. Again have no fear Lolly took pictures :)

So after 2 hours in the park I would have thought you would be begging to leave, but NO you still had a tantrum, it was sad but I knew you were hot and needed to rest, so we packed  up and came home.

So what will we do when you wake up? I don't know for sure, but I promise to take pictures and write all about it my love!
